Alaska is Panoramic

This is one of my favorite photos from the trip

Michele and I recently took an Alaskan cruise aboard the MS Westerdam. Our journey began in Vancouver and ended in Whittier as we traveled through the breathtaking Inside Passage. While this was not necessarily a photography-focused trip, I still took every opportunity I could to capture images along the way.

During the cruise, we stopped in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, and we also spent a day cruising through the incredible scenery of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

One thing I quickly discovered was that Alaska’s scenery seems perfectly designed for panoramic photography. Many of my favorite images from the trip were captured in the XPan format (65x24), which really helped emphasize the scale and beauty of the landscapes. Below is a selection of some of my favorite panoramic landscape images from the trip.
